Brazilian state research foundations launch new funding calls for science, innovation and inclusive education

The Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Roraima (Faperr) announced two public calls for proposals to boost research, technology and innovation in the state. The Universal Demand Call 2026 accepts submissions until 3 August 2026 to fund scientific and technological projects, while the second edition of the More Events, More Science Call supports conferences, workshops and other academic events with a deadline of 8 July 2026. Both calls prioritize projects led by women, Indigenous peoples and Black researchers.

In Goiás, the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Goiás (Fapeg), together with the State Department of Education, opened edital 13/2026 to strengthen Inclusive Special Education. Up to R$ 100 000 per proposal can be awarded, with a total budget of R$ 1 million, and applications close on 4 August 2026. The program funds research and innovation that develop tools, methodologies and training for support‑school professionals serving students with disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
