Brazilian states Roraima and Pará begin government transitions

State governments in Brazil are initiating administrative transition processes. In Roraima, current Governor Soldado Sampaio and Governor-elect Arthur Henrique held their first joint meeting at the State Court of Accounts (TCE-RR). The transition aims to gather data on the state's financial status, personnel expenses, contracts, and ongoing public works to assist the incoming administration, which takes office on January 6, 2027.

In Pará, Governor-elect Daniel Santos has announced his transition team to Governor Hanna Ghassan. The team, coordinated by Ed Wilson Dias e Silva with legal coordination by João Luís Brasil Batista Rolim de Castro, includes representatives from strategic sectors such as health, public security, culture, environment, and infrastructure. The group is tasked with assessing the state's administrative and operational situation to ensure the continuity of public services during the leadership change.
