Brazilian stray dogs become viral internet sensations

Caramelo, a stray dog rescued in Francisco Beltrão, Paraná, now lives in a local motel where staff treat him as a mascot, provide a private driver and regular grooming at Villa Pet. The story sparked wide online interest and highlighted the community’s affection for the animal.

In Florianópolis, another caramel‑colored dog, Antonio, nicknamed the “cão CLT,” roams a supermarket in São José, greeting customers and appearing in security‑camera videos. His owner, Letícia Melo, shares his antics on Instagram and TikTok, earning more than 1.3 million followers and turning the store into a tourist draw. Both dogs illustrate how ordinary animals can achieve national fame through social‑media exposure, boosting the visibility of the businesses that host them.
