Pedro Henrique Sales arrested for sexual assault in Bahia gym
On Sunday, July 19, a 35‑year‑old woman recorded her treadmill workout in a condominium gym in Feira de Santana, Bahia. In the video she captured a 21‑year‑old education student, Pedro Henrique Sales, masturbating behind her. After reviewing the footage she turned off the treadmill, left the gym and called the police.
Police identified Sales, issued a preventive arrest warrant and located him five days later in an abandoned construction house in Simões Filho. He attempted to flee through debris toward a thicket but was apprehended. He is being held under preventive detention while the case, classified as importunação sexual, is investigated by the Delegacia Especial de Atendimento à Mulher. Residents of the condominium voted via a mobile app to expel Sales and consider civil action against him.
