Brazilian students achieve success in national innovation marathons

Students from Brazilian educational institutions have achieved notable success in recent innovation marathons. At the 9th HackLab FNESP 2026 in São Paulo, Samuell Faleiro de Sá and Willian de Arruda Souza from UniEVANGÉLICA were among 28 students selected nationwide to develop solutions for higher education challenges. The university was the only institution from Goiás and the Center-West region selected in the first call.

In a separate event, the Écodados team from IFSP Campus Araraquara won first place at ClimatonBrasil 2026, an innovation marathon organized by the Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU). The winning team, composed of Yagor Vitor Silva dos Santos, Samuel Fernandes Filho, and Bernardo Duarte Marcelino, developed a WebGIS platform designed to improve climate policy management. The tool utilizes artificial intelligence to organize data and assist public managers in creating action plans by comparing past experiences and identifying policy weaknesses.
