Brazilian Study Highlights Youth Employment Gaps Across Latin America

A joint study by Junior Achievement Brazil and ManpowerGroup is mapping the obstacles that young people face when entering the labour market in Brazil and 14 other countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. The survey, called “Youth Talent and Companies: Opportunities and Challenges 2026,” collects responses from individuals aged 18‑29 as well as employers and HR professionals. In Brazil, data collection runs until 31 July and will allow a comparison of local conditions with those in the wider region, identifying specific challenges to entry, retention and career progression.

Separately, a career‑advice article aimed at recent graduates in Angola outlines six practical steps for preparing for a first job interview, including reviewing the application form and résumé, researching the organisation, anticipating common questions, and presenting oneself professionally. The guidance reflects broader concerns about youth employability and the need for better preparation to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.
