Brazilian surfers secure major titles in Portugal and Brazil

Brazilian surfers achieved significant victories in recent international and domestic competitions. In Matosinhos, Portugal, Wesley Dantas won the QS 6,000 Norte Surf Fest after a high-level performance in the final against France's Justin Becret. Dantas secured the title with a perfect 10-point ride, competing in a field of 144 surfers.

Domestically, the Circuito Banco do Brasil surfing stage in Guarapari, Espírito Santo, concluded with victories for Tainá Hinckel and Jadson André. Hinckel won the women's title by defeating Peru's Daniella Rosas, moving into third place in the South American QS ranking. The event, part of the World Surf League (WSL) circuit, provides points toward the 2026/27 South American ranking and the 2027/28 Challenger Series.
