Brazilian teens Victoria Barros and Naná Silva get SP Open main‑draw invites

Victoria Barros and Naná Silva, both 16‑year‑old Brazilian tennis prospects, have been invited to the main‑singles draw of the SP Open, a WTA 250 tournament in São Paulo scheduled for 12 – 20 September at Parque Villa‑Lobos. They will compete alongside players such as Spain’s Paula Badosa, Canada’s Leylah Fernandez and fellow Brazilians Beatriz Haddad Maia and Luisa Stefani.

Barros, currently fourth in the junior rankings, has captured multiple ITF junior titles—including a J500 in Offenbach—and has already represented Brazil in the Billie Jean King Cup. Naná, ranked ninth, won the J30 in Guatemala and became the first player born in 2010 to record a WTA‑level victory at the SP Open last year. Barros said she is “very happy” about the invitation, while Naná thanked the organizers for the chance to play again at her home venue.
