Brazilian towns advance road paving and traffic‑signaling projects

In the district of Posto da Mata, Nova Viçosa (Bahia), municipal crews are installing hexagonal interlocking paving blocks on streets of the Primavera neighbourhood. The work aims to improve drainage, reduce dust and mud, and enhance safety for pedestrians and drivers.

Meanwhile, the city of Hortolândia (São Paulo) has completed another phase of its road‑signage revitalisation, repainting lane markings, crosswalks and installing a new traffic‑light set at a busy intersection in Jardim Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora. The programme targets areas with high foot and vehicle traffic, such as schools, health centres and commercial zones, to increase overall traffic safety.
