Brazilian towns Duas Barras and Barra do Piraí launch initiatives to support local entrepreneurs

The municipality of Duas Barras opened Public Credentialing No. 04/2026, inviting companies to sell food, beverages and artisanal products during the city’s 135th‑anniversary celebrations from 8 to 10 May. Applicants must register in person between 28 and 30 April, meet fiscal and sanitary requirements and will be selected by a scoring system that considers local ties and business history.

In Barra do Piraí, the Central do Empreendedor – a municipal hub for business services – recorded 24,144 attendances from 1 January 2025 to 27 July 2026. The centre, overseen by Mayor Katia Miki and coordinated by JUCERJA, provides support for company registration, micro‑entrepreneur formalisation, credit access and technical advice, aiming to strengthen the town’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
