Brazilian towns Lajedão and Lagoão host major July festivals 2026
Lajedão in Bahia will hold the Festa do Gado Forte 2026 from July 24‑26 to mark the municipality’s 64th anniversary of political emancipation. The three‑day event will feature regional and national musicians such as Thiago Aquino, Silvanno Salles and DJ Sandes, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors, boosting local commerce, hospitality and cultural pride. Mayor Tonzinho emphasized the celebration’s importance for the town’s identity and economy.
Meanwhile, Lagoão in Rio Grande do Sul will stage EXPOLAGOÃO 2026 together with the 17th Festa do Colono e Motorista from July 23‑26. The program includes a business fair, cultural shows, a machinery parade, contests for colonist and driver representatives, and family entertainment. Organisers anticipate strong public attendance and a positive impact on the regional economy, highlighting the community’s traditions and agricultural sector.
