Traffic Closed on MS-345 Rio Miranda Bridge in Bonito on July 28

The municipal government of Bonito announced that the State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Logistics will fully close the bridge over the Rio Miranda on the MS‑345 highway on Tuesday, 28 July, from 06:00 to 18:00. The closure is required to complete structural recovery work carried out by the State Agency for Enterprise Management, including reinforcement of the bridge, reconditioning of key points and technical adjustments to ensure safety and stability.

During the closure no vehicles will be allowed to cross. After the day’s works, traffic will resume under existing restrictions: a “stop‑and‑go” system, single‑lane operation and access limited to light vehicles, pickup trucks and small trucks up to 10 tonnes, with only one vehicle permitted at a time. Drivers are advised to plan routes in advance, follow official notices and exercise extra caution.

The measures aim to protect both the work crews and road users while the bridge’s structural integrity is restored.
