Brazilian towns launch community sports centers in Sinop and Juazeiro do Norte
The municipality of Sinop (Mato Grosso) signed a service order to begin construction of the Community Sports Center in the Nico Baracat residential area. The project, funded with R$1.8 million from the Ministry of Sport, will provide a synthetic football field, basketball court, outdoor gym, playground, walking path and lighting, and is expected to be completed within 120 days, benefiting roughly 1,440 families.
In Juazeiro do Norte (Ceará), officials inaugurated the Community Sports Space in the Brejo Seco neighborhood. Federal deputy Yury do Paredão helped secure Ministry of Sport resources for the venue, which offers facilities for sports, leisure and social interaction across all age groups. The opening aims to improve quality of life and promote healthy habits for local residents.
