Brazilian towns launch education hiring drives with temporary contracts

The municipality of Campo Alegre in Santa Catarina published a public selection (edital n° 002/2026) for temporary education posts. The hiring includes specialist, bilingual, early‑childhood and subject teachers, with salaries between R$5,133.30 and R$5,287.36 for up to 40 hours per week. Registrations are open from 20 July to 7 August 2026, and the objective test is scheduled for 23 August.

In Dumont, São Paulo, the 2025 temporary education process created a reserve list of teachers and support staff, offering compensation from R$300 to R$1,861.85. The city previously held several public concursos for various municipal roles, but the latest update indicates no new edital is planned for the near future.
