Feira de Santana adopts school access‑control and attendance system

The Municipal Education Department (Seduc) of Feira de Santana has issued Ordinance 029/2026, signed by Secretary Pablo Roberto Gonçalves da Silva, to install a unified Access‑Control and Attendance System in every municipal school. The system will record entry and exit times for students, staff and authorized visitors, and store images and data solely for security, monitoring and administrative purposes in compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Access to the records will be limited to authorized personnel and the contracted service provider.

The measure aims to improve school safety, streamline attendance tracking and protect personal data while supporting the municipality’s broader effort to modernize its public‑education infrastructure.
