Brazilian towns launch sports incentives and new training academy

In Nova Lima, a municipal proposal spearheaded by councilor Pedro Dornas introduces a financial incentive for futsal teams that demonstrate fair‑play behavior. Teams meeting attendance, conduct and disciplinary criteria can receive up to R$1,500 to cover costs such as uniforms, equipment and travel.

In Piranga, the National Esporte Clube opened the Academia de Alto Rendimento Fênix, a high‑performance training center funded through resources secured by federal deputy Glaycon Franco. The facility aims to improve conditions for local athletes and promote sport as a tool for community development.
