Sorocaba launches free mobile veterinary clinic at Parque São Bento

The Sorocaba City Hall, through its Secretariat for Environment, Protection and Animal Welfare (SEMA), will operate a Mobile Veterinary Clinic from 10 to 14 August, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Parque São Bento opposite CEI‑28 “Rauldineia Esteves Machado”. The service offers free preventive veterinary consultations, health assessments, guidance for pet owners and referrals when needed. Slots are limited; owners must register online via the municipal portal. Priority is given to families in social vulnerability who are enrolled in the federal Cadastro Único and earn up to two minimum wages.

The initiative aims to decentralise public animal‑health care, bringing essential services closer to residents of Sorocaba, especially those with limited access to conventional veterinary facilities.
