Brazilian TV stars Bruna Furlan de Nóbrega and Vera Viel celebrate cancer remission

Bruna Furlan de Nóbrega, 25, the granddaughter of comedian Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega, posted on Instagram after completing 222 days of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for breast cancer. She described severe side effects such as fatigue, nausea, hair loss and emotional strain, thanked the medical staff who supported her, and announced that she is now cured and returning to normal life.

Presenter Vera Viel announced she is in remission after being diagnosed with the rare synovial sarcoma in October 2024. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and 33 radiotherapy sessions. In early 2025 she shared a video thanking oncologist Fernando Maluf and her husband, TV host Rodrigo Faro, for their care and support, and confirmed that follow‑up exams have shown no return of the disease. Both celebrities used their platforms to raise awareness about cancer treatment and the importance of medical support.
