Brazilian universities announce 2027 entrance exam schedules and study guidelines

The State University of Southwest Bahia (Uesb) confirmed that its 2027 vestibular will be held on 22 and 23 November. The exam will be organized by the Instituto Avalia, with the full edital expected in July. Tests will take place across Uesb’s campuses in Vitória da Conquista, Jequié and Itapetinga, and will cover the university’s 47 undergraduate courses.

The University of Maranhão (UEMA) and the University of the Tocantina Region of Maranhão (UEMASUL) released the content outline for the 2027 PAES entrance exam. Candidates must study the complete high‑school curriculum in all subjects, including Portuguese language and literature, mathematics, sciences, humanities, and a foreign language (Spanish or English). Detailed syllabus items cover grammar, textual analysis, literary periods, and language-specific topics such as verb conjugations and reading comprehension techniques.
