Brazilian universities announce new academic and health programs

The Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (Uefs) has announced the launch of its first Bachelor of Design program, scheduled to welcome its inaugural class in the first semester of 2027. The course will offer 35 spots per semester, consisting of 30 regular vacancies and five additional spots. Admission will be conducted through the Unified Selection System (Sisu) based on Enem 2026 results. The program includes affirmative action policies, reserving 50% of regular spots for specific criteria and dedicating five extra spots to indigenous, Roma, quilombola, disabled, and transgender or transvestite candidates.

Separately, Unesp de Marília is offering the final vacancies for 2026 of a free physiotherapy project specifically designed for pregnant women. The program provides 20 spots for women between 12 and 30 weeks of gestation. Participants undergo a free physical evaluation and can choose between two weekly evening sessions involving exercises on land or in a pool. The project focuses on physical changes during pregnancy, with a particular emphasis on pelvic floor health.
