Brazilian universities boost health education and digital solutions

Students from the Biomedical program at UniEVANGÉLICA in Goiás carried out community extension activities that taught hand‑washing, food safety and infection‑prevention practices at markets, public spaces and local institutions. The outreach used banners, pamphlets and violet‑light demonstrations to make scientific information accessible to consumers, merchants, children and families.

Medical students at the University of Marília participated in the Health Tech event, presenting technology‑driven projects aimed at improving patient pathways and health‑service efficiency. Notable among them was the RadarMed platform, which conducts an initial symptom questionnaire and directs users to the appropriate health unit (UBS, UPA, hospital) without providing a diagnosis. Hospital officials highlighted the real‑world relevance of these solutions for Brazil’s public health system.
