Brazilian universities launch public hiring contests for faculty and staff

The São Paulo State University (Unesp) opened applications for a single substitute‑professor position at its Bauru campus. The vacancy covers Psychology of Education and Reading‑Writing practice, with a 12‑hour weekly workload. Applications run from 23 January to 6 February 2026, and candidates must hold at least a master’s degree. Selection includes a written exam, a teaching demonstration, and evaluation of the Lattes curriculum. Salary ranges from R$2,026.61 to R$3,379.43, plus a R$2,000 food‑voucher.

The University of São Paulo (USP) announced a broader public contest covering dozens of roles, including auxiliary services, maintenance, obstetrics education, specialist laboratory positions, physicist, speech‑therapist, laboratory technician, and radiology technician. Registration opens on 8 July and closes on 7 August 2026, with remuneration and hiring conditions varying by function under the CLT regime. The contest applies to all USP units in the capital and interior of São Paulo.
