Brazilian universities open applications for postgraduate programs in History and Arts
Several Brazilian educational institutions have opened registration for professional postgraduate programs.
The Federal University of Acre (Ufac) is offering 19 vacancies for its History Teaching programs through ProfHistória 2027. This includes 13 spots for a professional master's degree, with applications open until November 17, and six spots for a doctorate, with a deadline of October 9. The selection process for the master's involves objective and discursive exams, while the doctorate includes research project evaluations and an oral exam. Applicants must be graduates in teaching degrees or history teachers in basic education.
Additionally, registration has begun for ProfArtes 2027, a national network offering 385 free professional master's vacancies in Arts. The program is available through various institutions, including the University of Brasília, the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and the Federal University of Bahia, among others. The course consists of 420 hours of in-person classes. Eligible candidates must hold a recognized degree in Visual Arts, Dance, Music, or Theater and be active teachers in basic education.
