Brazilian vocational students to compete in WorldSkills 2026 in China

Four young professionals from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, are preparing to represent the country at the 48th WorldSkills competition in Shanghai, China. The event, recognized as the largest vocational education contest in the world, is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 27.

The Brazilian delegation includes Cássia Eloa (São Borja) in Health Care and Social Support, Natália da Rosa Corso (Taquara) in Hotel Reception, Gustavo de Freitas Argoud (Porto Alegre) in Culinary Arts, and Maria Eduarda Guerreiro da Silveira (Canoas) in Aesthetics and Well-being. These competitors secured their positions by winning national-level Senac competitions held in Rio de Janeiro in 2025.

To prepare for the international stage, the participants are undergoing full-time training, dedicating approximately eight hours daily to technical practice and the development of emotional and cognitive skills required to perform under high pressure.
