Brazilian woman Dona Júlia's viral birthday video sparks speculation

A video recorded at a birthday celebration in a Brazilian bar shows a woman staring directly at the camera with a fixed, unsettling smile. The clip spread widely on social media, leading some viewers to suggest the woman might be possessed or that the image was altered with a filter.

The same footage also features Dona Júlia, who is said to be 126 years old and celebrated her birthday in Tibagi, Paraná. While the celebration captured public interest, longevity organizations such as Guinness World Records, the Gerontology Research Group and LongeviQuest have not verified her age because of a lack of historical documentation. Consequently, her claim remains unconfirmed despite the viral attention.
