Brazilian woman harassed by restaurant staff in Italy

A Brazilian woman, Maria Clara, experienced a humiliating incident at the Victor Lab restaurant in Riccione, Italy, after a waiter wrote an offensive instruction on her food order. The note, which reached her table, reportedly instructed the kitchen to “burn the eggs and spit in them” because the customer had requested specific preparations.

Maria Clara’s mother, Amanda Duarte, clarified that her daughter has dealt with food selectivity since childhood, which explains her specific requests for well-done eggs without salad. The family, who has lived in Italy for years, reported that the incident has led to Maria Clara receiving insults and racist comments online.

The restaurant owner, Luciano Colono, stated that the employee responsible for the note was immediately suspended, noting that such behavior is contrary to establishment norms. While the manager initially attempted to dismiss the incident as a joke between staff, the victim expressed a desire for a direct apology from the individual involved.
