Brazilian youth athletes secure victories in Jiu-Jitsu and tennis

Two young Brazilian athletes achieved significant victories in their respective sports.

Lucas Zambon Ferreira, a 14-year-old from Itu, won the juvenile white belt category (up to 73kg) at the Premium Cup Jiu-Jitsu BJJ Championship in Campinas. Representing the Juan Sanches team, Ferreira secured the title via submission in less than one minute during the final match.

In tennis, 9-year-old Giovana Ghizoni from Jaraguá won the 10-year-old category at the Copa Futuro Kids 2026 in São Paulo. Ghizoni won all her matches in straight sets, marking her ninth title of the season and her 23rd title since beginning competitive play in 2024.
