Brazilian Youth Gymnastics Championship begins in Brasília

The Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship (CBI) for the youth category is taking place in Brasília at the Nilson Nélson gymnasium from August 15 to 16, 2026. The competition features both female and male athletes participating in mandatory and free series across various apparatuses.

Several regional clubs are represented in the national event. Esporte Clube Pinheiros is fielding a full team of young gymnasts, including Lara Chagas and Catherine Trindade da Cruz on the female side, and athletes such as Christopher Rodrigo Cardena Santana on the male side.

Representing Goiás, MS Ginástica Artística from Goiânia has sent a seven-athlete female squad to the competition. The group, which includes Luiza Amorim and Nadini Santana, consists of gymnasts aged 10 to 12 competing in vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.
