Brazil's 2026 agricultural fairs launch rural services and interactive animal exhibits

The municipal government of Canaã dos Carajás introduced the "Prefeitura no Campo" programme at ExpoCanaã 2026, bringing health, education, housing, social assistance, environmental, land‑regularisation, sports and mobilisation services directly to rural residents and producers. The launch took place on 14 July at the Florentino Guirelle Exhibition Park, ahead of the fair scheduled for 29 August–6 September. Secretary of Planning Barbara Andrade said, “Antes, o espaço era a Fazendinha. Neste ano, apresentamos um novo formato, reunindo programas e serviços que ampliam o apoio ao homem e à mulher do campo, oferecendo mais atendimento e incentivo à produção rural.”

At ExpoCrato 2026, the Agri‑Livestock Exhibition added a public reptile and bird showcase in the Pedro Felício Cavalcante Exhibition Park. More than 15 species, including the three‑metre‑wingspan vulture Zeca Urubu and the owl‑suindara Afrodite, are available for interaction. The daily visit runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a R$ 20 admission fee. Organizer Davi explained, “Zeca Urubu is a ‘garotão’ of only five years, trained for public contact, while Afrodite is presented at night due to heat sensitivity.”
