Campo Grande leads 2026 Campanha do Agasalho with nationwide charity drive

The Fundo de Apoio à Comunidade (FAC) is coordinating the 2026 Campanha do Agasalho across Brazil, targeting about 50,000 beneficiaries – up from roughly 35,000 in 2025. The campaign operates more than 80 collection points in Campo Grande and has already distributed over 17,000 winter clothing items. In the city’s neighborhoods Colibri 1 and Vila Dedé, families received coats, blankets, shoes and other essentials.

The campaign culminates on 1 August 2026 with a “Dia D” event at Praça do Rádio in Campo Grande. The day‑long activity will feature a Pit Stop Solidário that lets motorists donate without leaving their vehicles, a parade of more than 300 vintage cars, and a motor‑bike rally with over 75 motorcycles.

Parallel local actions reinforce the effort: Varal Solidário pop‑up events in Atibaia, Bragança Paulista and Ribeirão Pires provide free clothing, health examinations and recreation; the Acolher program in Itapevi distributes coats and offers vaccinations, haircuts and other services; and the municipality of Esteio has collected nearly 13 000 items. The real‑estate association ABADI launched a Desafio Solidário competition for property‑management firms, while the FAC has trained over 1,600 people through courses and workshops in the first half of 2026.
