Brazil's 2026 PIS/PASEP Salary Bonus Payments Begin

On July 15, 2026 Brazil’s Ministry of Labor released the sixth batch of the PIS/PASEP salary bonus, covering workers born in September and October. Eligible recipients include private‑sector employees and public‑sector workers who have been enrolled in the program for at least five years, had formal employment for a minimum of 30 days in 2024, and earned an average monthly salary of up to R$ 2,765.93. Payments range from R$ 136 to R$ 1,621, with full‑time workers receiving the current minimum wage. The government estimates that 26.9 million workers will receive the benefit, amounting to roughly R$ 33.5 billion in total disbursements.

Beneficiaries can verify entitlement and payment details through the Digital Work Card app or the Gov.br portal. In cases where the bonus does not appear in a worker’s account, the most common causes are outdated personal data or errors in the employer‑submitted information to the e‑Social or RAIS systems. Workers are advised to consult the digital platforms, correct any discrepancies with their former or current employer’s HR department, and monitor the process until the payment is released. Undeposited amounts are returned to the Fundo de Amparo ao Trabalhador but the right to the benefit remains intact.
