Brazil's air fryer boom drives R$2 bn frozen lasagna market

Air fryers are now present in 64% of Brazilian homes, turning the appliance into a staple for quick, low‑oil cooking. Popular use has spurred a surge in the frozen ready‑meal sector, which generates about R$2 billion annually. Lasagna accounts for roughly half of sales in this category, and the brand Seara – part of JBS – has taken the lead by launching a line that can be prepared in 20 minutes using an air fryer.

Consumers, however, still make common mistakes that affect performance and lifespan. Over‑filling the basket, neglecting post‑use cleaning, and unnecessary pre‑heating reduce cooking uniformity and crispness. Choosing appropriately sized models, such as the 6.2‑liter Philips Walita Airfryer, can help avoid these issues and improve results.
