Brazil's ANEEL auctions four transmission line projects worth R$1.8 bn

Four power‑transmission projects were auctioned on Friday at B3’s São Paulo headquarters, marking the second such auction of the year organized by Brazil’s National Electricity Agency (ANEEL). The four lots, covering 61 km of lines and 2,400 MVA of substation capacity in São Paulo, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, attracted an estimated R$1.8 billion in investments and are expected to generate more than 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Lot 7 (São Paulo) was won by Consórcio Olympus XX with a RAP offer of R$96.7 million, a 52% discount to the regulator’s ceiling. Lot 10 (Cuiabá, Mato Grosso) went to Axia Energia for R$23.7 million (51.84% discount). Lot 9 (São Paulo) and Lot 8 (Mato Grosso do Sul) were both secured by Axia Energia Sul, offering R$16.2 million (57.24% discount) and R$10.8 million (59.04% discount) respectively.
