Brazil's ANP releases firms list for October oil and gas auctions
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) announced the companies cleared to bid in the upcoming October cycles of the Permanent Offer for Sharing (OPP) and the Permanent Offer for Concession (OPC). Nineteen firms are eligible for the fourth OPP cycle and 46 for the sixth OPC cycle. Interested participants must declare interest and provide bid guarantees by 21 July, with a deadline for final block declarations on 6 August.
Separately, the ANP postponed its decision on the Gato do Mato field development in the Santos Basin. The project, operated by a consortium of Shell (50%), Ecopetrol (30%) and Kufpec (20%), proposes oil production from 2029 with complete reinjection of associated gas. The agency’s Superintendence of Production Development recommended approval except for aspects related to gas export, setting a review deadline of 31 December 2032. The board director‑general voted to postpone the case for up to 30 days, citing legal and infrastructure concerns about gas export capacity.
