Brazil's Anvisa recalls Mamba Water batches over contamination

The Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) ordered a voluntary recall of two lots (13 and 14) of Mamba Water still mineral water in 350 ml cans. The lots were produced on 3 April 2026 and 4 April 2026, have a shelf‑life until April 2027 and were withdrawn after routine tests detected the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The manufacturer, HNK BR Indústria de Bebidas, reported that about 82 % of the volume had already been blocked and advised consumers not to consume the product and to request refunds.

In the same resolution dated 16 July 2026, Anvisa also suspended the sale, manufacture, distribution and advertising of all Mister Hemp energy drinks made by G. Freitas Alimentos, citing the absence of stability studies and lack of registration in the national surveillance system. The agency’s actions follow earlier recalls of products from Ypê and Crystal that were contaminated with the same bacterium.
