Brazil's Anvisa suspends Dobutamine drug and bans products from five firms

The Brazilian health regulator Anvisa ordered the immediate suspension of the injectable medication Cloridrato de Dobutamina (dobutamine) after detecting quality deviations in several batches, including the presence of particles, crystal formation and discoloration. The affected lot numbers are 25071640, 25071641, 24071684 and 24092132, and their sale, distribution and use have been halted.

Anvisa also prohibited the commercialization, distribution and use of dietary supplements and other products from five companies for breaching sanitary standards or lacking proper registration. The actions affect Hypofarma (Dobutamina batches), IBG Cryo (medicinal oxygen without licensing), Supra Ervas Bebidas (multiple herbal extracts), Primenutri Comércio Virtual (several unregistered supplements) and Segredos da Terra Cristais (greenora line products). All listed items are now barred from manufacturing, marketing, import, or consumption in Brazil.
