The July 2026 Bolsa Família payments will range from R$142 to R$250 per family member, depending on the Benefício de Renda de Cidadania (BRC) and additional supplements such as the Benefício Primeira Infância (R$150 for children under six) and a R$50 variable benefit for pregnant women, nursing mothers and adolescents. Payments are deposited electronically via the Caixa Tem app according to the family’s NIS code, ensuring the program’s minimum guarantee of R$600 per household.

The program’s underlying Cadastro Único system, launched in 2001, allows low‑income families to self‑declare income, informing benefit eligibility. Analysts argue the system should better differentiate aid based on vulnerability, proposing targeted study scholarships and enhanced data use to improve long‑term social inclusion and educational outcomes for beneficiaries.
