Brazil's Bolsa Família pays June benefits to NIS‑6 families

On 24 June 2026 the Caixa Econômica Federal will release the June installment of Brazil’s Bolsa Família to families whose Número de Identificação Social (NIS) ends in 6. The program reaches 19.34 million families and will disburse a total of R$ 13.08 billion. The minimum payment is R$ 600, while the average amount, after family‑specific supplements, is R$ 677.66.

Additional supplements include R$ 150 per child up to 6 years, R$ 50 for each child aged 7‑18, R$ 50 for pregnant women and nursing mothers, and six R$ 50 installments for mothers of infants up to six months. Beneficiaries can check dates, amounts and transaction details through the Caixa Tem app or at authorized agencies.

A special advance payment was made on 17 June for 207 municipalities in eight states (including Rio Grande do Norte, Amazonas, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima and Sergipe), allowing those areas to receive the full amount irrespective of NIS. The holiday celebrating São João on 24 June does not suspend the payment schedule. Around 2.26 million families remain under the “rule of protection”, receiving half the benefit for up to a year after a rise in income.
