Brazil's Bolsa Família July 2026 payments schedule released

The Ministry of Social Development has published the July 2026 payment calendar for Brazil’s Bolsa Família program. Beneficiaries will receive the minimum benefit of R$ 600, with additional amounts depending on household composition. A R$ 150 bonus is granted for each child up to six years old, allowing families with two young children to earn up to R$ 300 extra, plus R$ 50 for pregnant women, adolescents aged 7‑17 and infants under seven months. Payments are staggered by the final digit of the beneficiary’s NIS, ranging from 20 July (NIS 1) to 31 July (NIS 0). In June, the program paid roughly R$ 13 billion to 19.3 million families, with individual installments for NIS endings 4, 7, 8 and emergency advances in 207 municipalities across eight states. The “rule of protection” continues, allowing families that improve their income to retain 50 % of the benefit for up to a year. Additionally, the government clarified that Bolsa Família payments remain active while a Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) request is under review, preventing a sudden loss of income for applicants. The program’s extensive reach makes it a cornerstone of Brazil’s social safety net.
