Brazil's Bolsa Família payment schedule confirmed, benefits rise to R$1,050

The Brazilian government announced that the monthly Bolsa Família benefit will increase to R$1,050 and confirmed the date on which the payments will be made. The increase is aimed at helping families facing rising living costs and continues the program’s focus on poverty reduction, education, and health support.

Separately, the Caixa Tem digital platform will begin releasing a minimum R$600 deposit to beneficiaries starting 17 June. Payments will be staggered according to the final digit of each family’s NIS number, with dates ranging from 17 June to 30 June. The schedule applies to families whose monthly per‑person income does not exceed R$218 and includes supplemental assistance for children, pregnant women, and adolescents.
