June 2026 road works and traffic changes affect multiple Brazilian cities

Throughout June 2026 a series of municipal road works and traffic‑operation plans are being carried out across Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, CET‑Rio is closing Rua Bernardo de Vasconcelos for the PAC Realengo project, implementing a special traffic scheme for the BPChoque 2026 race, and managing road closures for the Festa Junina Edmundo Rego in Grajaú. The city also began the Asfalto Liso program in Copacabana and Leme, resurfacing 34 streets with a R$ 25 million contract. São Paulo’s Avenida Primeiro de Maio sees weekend blockages for pavement work, while the state of Rio Grande do Norte has started the concrete‑paving phase of the BR‑304 duplication. In Rondônia, Jaru advances the final paving of the Avenida Rio de Janeiro duplication, and Orleans (São Paulo) inaugurated new pavement and a concrete bridge in Rio Pinheiros Baixo. Additional transport adjustments include a new Sunday bus line in the Gama (DF) for the Rua do Lazer event, 24‑hour bus service for Goiás’s Romaria do Divino Pai Eterno, temporary street blocks in Porto Alegre’s Menino Deus neighbourhood, and weekend platform changes on CPTM’s Line 10‑Turquesa in São Paulo. All projects involve temporary detours, alternate routes and heightened traffic monitoring to minimise disruption.
