Brazil's Canal Futura launches second season of Candomblé documentary series Àgbára Dúdú

The second season of the documentary series Àgbára Dúdú – Narrativas Negras began airing on Brazil's Canal Futura and is also available on Globoplay. Episodes are broadcast on Tuesdays at 22:30. The 13‑episode season continues to explore the history, rituals and cultural heritage of Candomblé, aiming to preserve memory, celebrate Afro‑Brazilian ancestry and combat religious racism.

The series was created in close collaboration with practitioners of the religion. It is directed and written by Silvana Moura, with cinematography by Hans Herold, executive production by Sylvia Abreu (Truque) and a soundtrack by André T. Filming took place in ten cities across Bahia, Maranhão, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and Sergipe, documenting fourteen terreiros that illustrate the diversity of the tradition.
