Brazil's construction industry adopts digital home‑building platform and waste‑cutting pipe technology

Brazilian construtech GetHome has launched a digital platform that lets customers select land, design, and customize finishes for new homes online. The system promises a fixed price, up to 10% lower costs than the market average, and delivery of keys within 12 months. A pilot project is underway on a luxury tower in the Vale do Sereno, Nova Lima (MG), with a target launch in 2026.

At the same time, builders are turning to simpler‑install products such as Krona Tubos' PEX pipe line to curb waste on construction sites. A study by Abrecon estimates that Brazil discards about 41.2 million m³ of construction material each year, while research from USP links rework, idle time and operational errors to up to 30% of project costs. The PEX system reduces the number of connections, cuts material leftovers and streamlines logistics, according to Krona’s commercial director Julio Grein.
