The third edition of the regional Copa CIF soccer tournament has resumed after a three‑year break, with organizers planning to replay two postponed group‑stage rounds next week to finalize the men’s quarter‑finalists and the women’s semi‑finalists. Executive Maicon França praised the return, noting heightened competitiveness and the need for security oversight during matches.

The Rio Winter National Open, the sixth stop of the 2026 Circuito Rio Mineirinho Jiu‑Jitsu series, will be held on 29‑30 August at the Centro de Educação Física Almirante Adalberto Nunes (CEFAN) in Rio de Janeiro. Registrations are open with an early‑bird discount until 7 August. The event awards ranking points, international travel prizes, scholarships and a draw of 20 kimonos, influencing the season’s overall standings.
