Brazil's Democratic Labour Party (PDT) revises Acre coalition and appoints new Goiás leader

The Democratic Labour Party (PDT) filed a corrective act to amend the composition of the "Avança Acre" coalition that backs Governor Mailza Assis’s re‑election. The Federation Renovação Solidária was removed, leaving the alliance with the União Progressista, MDB, PL, PDT and Democrata, while candidate lists and other party directives remained unchanged.

In Goiás, the PDT announced a leadership change after its state convention. Former state president Kowalsky Ribeiro stepped down and was succeeded by Leonardo Zumpichiatti, a member of the party’s national executive committee. Ribeiro said he will focus on electoral law and the campaign of Romário Policarpo, a candidate for the state legislature. Zumpichiatti will head the provisional commission until early 2027, with national president Carlos Lupi confirming the transition does not affect decisions made at the convention.
