Brazil's Distrito Federal launches QR Code bathroom stickers for victims

QR code stickers have been affixed to mirrors in bathrooms of public agencies, private establishments and events throughout the Federal District. Scanning the codes links users to information about the "Direito Delas" program, a government initiative that assists women and other victims of violence.

The program provides free social, psychological and legal support without requiring proof of income. It serves women facing domestic abuse, children and adolescents who are victims of sexual assault, elderly victims of crime, families of femicide victims, and other victims of kidnapping, robbery, disappearance, homicide, latrocínio and traffic-related deaths. Services are offered at twelve regional centers located in Águas Claras, Brasília, Ceilândia, Estrutural, Gama, Guará, Itapoã, Paranoá, Planaltina, Recanto das Emas, Samambaia and São Sebastião, and information is also reachable by phone at (61) 98382‑0130.
