Brazil's Encceja exam permits taking its four subject tests separately
The National Exam for Certification of Youth and Adult Competencies (Encceja) is administered annually by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais (Inep) for Brazilians who did not finish school at the regular age. The assessment is divided into four subject areas – Languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Human Sciences.
Candidates are not required to sit for all four exams in a single edition. Those who have already achieved the minimum score in one or more areas can obtain a partial proficiency declaration from a State Education Secretariat or an authorized Federal Institute and register only for the remaining subjects. First‑time participants who wish to obtain a complete certificate in one go must enroll for all four areas, but scores earned in different years can be accumulated toward the final certification.
