The Government of Brazil's Federal District announced a R$42.1 million allocation to its social assistance programs, including R$24.7 million for the Cartão Prato Cheio benefit that provides a monthly R$250 food credit to families facing food insecurity. The funding also supports the DF Social program for 70,000 families and the Cartão Gás program for another 70,000 households.

Separately, the municipal Social Development Secretariat in Feira de Santana received a food donation collected through the Sesc's Mesa Brasil program during the Feira de Santana Beauty event. Hundreds of participants contributed non‑perishable items, adding to nearly three tonnes of food already gathered for vulnerable families in Bahia.
