Brazil's Federal District expands digital public services

The Government of the Federal District (GDF) has broadened a suite of online platforms to streamline citizen access to health, transport, education, and municipal services. Initiatives include GDF Digital, the 24‑hour Regional Administration portal for requests such as tree trimming and street cleaning, EducaDF Digital for school management, and the E‑Protocol system for electronic document submission. In health, the Farmácia Digital platform now tracks high‑cost medication requests from ordering to delivery. The water utility Caesb launched the Iná AI assistant, allowing users to obtain second‑copy bills, view consumption graphs, and request invoice revisions via natural‑language chat. BRB Mobilidade enables Pix‑based transit card recharges and balance checks, while Detran‑DF’s Virtual Counter offers online vehicle and driver services. The DF Libras video‑call service provides real‑time Brazilian Sign Language interpretation for deaf users in health and public safety venues. According to officials, more than 4 million digital interactions have been completed in recent years, with over 790 000 residents using the mobility card.
