Brazil's Federal District Legislative Chamber sees open candidate race and top absentee deputy

A spontaneous poll for the Federal District's Legislative Chamber shows a fragmented field, with Jaqueline Silva leading at 2.7% of voter intention, followed by Pepa (1.4%), Eduardo Pedrosa (1.1%), Joaquim Roriz Neto (1.0%) and Robério Negreiros (0.7%). Over 60% of respondents remain undecided, leaving much room for shifts before the election.

A separate analysis of attendance records reveals that deputy Daniel Donizet (MDB) has the highest number of absences, tallying about 34 missed sessions in 2025 and 46 in the first half of 2026 – roughly 80% of plenary meetings. Other legislators with notable absenteeism include Jorge Vianna (≈25 absences), Dayse Amarílio (23), Paula Belmonte (21) and Joaquim Roriz Neto (≈20). The findings raise concerns about legislative engagement in the district.
